Background:
Many cases have arisen in the corporate world where workers get away with fraud for many years before they are uncovered and reprimanded. These fraudsters are able to get away with such actions mainly because there are no adequate internal controls in place. This is a problem that many companies face, and can be very detrimental not only to their profits but also to their reputation. With the proper internal controls in place, business can significantly decrease the risk of fraud.
