Reflective Essay on ‘Effective communication’
According to the lecturer’s instructions which you will find attached, i was the groups project manager/group leader. In the course of developing the PID, every individual in the group was given a section of the PID to work on. I was assigned to develop/work on the following:
1) Role Description
2)Interface
3)Communications Management strategy
4)Project Control.
All these will be incorporated into this reflective essay. Carefully read through the uploaded materials to have a better understanding of what needs to be done. Also, minutes of all meetings held in the group so far will be uploaded here, take a look at it to understand who did what and when, the particular days we met and a brief summary of what our meetings was all about. I would appreciate a very standard but heartfelt essay. Our means of communications as a group was mostly through emails,whatsapp, dropbox and phone calls.
In terms of weak communications, Ola was our only weak link. He was the main hinderance we had as a group. Initially he had a mobile phone which does not accept these services, even after he had a change of phone, he lacked ability to manage proper communications and constantly failed to communicate properly with other group members. He also had issues completing the task assigned to him, this he failed to relate with the group, instead he made excuses and occasionally caused disagreements in our meetings.
