1 Is typing an inevitable process in human perception? Must we see others as members of socially defined categories? How can we engage in viewing others without
prejudices, biases, and negative stereotyping? Please provide examples of non-biased interaction from your own life experiences and observations. You may wish to
discuss how biases affected some of your experiences.
2 Briefly describe your research project, and your progress on this project, in a paragraph or two. What nation are you focusing on? Why? What sources will you be
using, to analyze inequalities in this nation. What disadvantaged groups in this nation will you be studying? (Be as specific as possible). Why did you choose these
sources? What will you be looking for in the studies of this nation? How will you record your materials for your paper? What have you found so far, or what do you
expect to find? Why? Most importantly, what questions and concerns about your project do you have at this point, and how might the rest of us (the instructor and your
classmates) be able to help? (What suggestions can we make or advice can we give?).

key concepts learned from course.
Thematic Organization – general organization of paper following outline guidelines, thematic organization of results/analysis around key theoretical concepts and
issues, and smooth flow and transition from section to section.
