I have chosen to research on question

It is important for the teachers to consider race and ethnicity of the students. This should not lead to discrimination but to more understanding of the student characteristics so that the teacher can be able to assist the student effectively (Gay, 2010). It is, said that many student grow up in some communities where they undergo a lot, of cultures where some hinder them from performing well in school.
When the teacher understand the different background of every; student it is easier to assist them in learning (Milner, 2010). I strongly agree with this item that the teacher should not consider races or ethnic groups while they are teaching.

Personally, I feel that the teachers should not consider distinctive characteristics of studentcultures such as Asian, Latino, African American, and Native American Students.

I feel that the teachers can either, choose to be asking the shy students questions in front of the class or choose not to.

I think that the teachers should try and, adapt to different learning styles of the students from various ethics.

Finding and using
Cultural, historic, and everyday experiences is not a wastage of valuable time as it is important in learning.

Item 2- I neither agree nor disagree

Item 5-strongly disagree

Item 6- strongly agree.

Item 2 – my opinion changed.Societal stereotypes limits students’ achievement.

Item 5 –after reading the background information, my opinion changed. When parents do not get involved in student learning, it makes the work of the teachers very hard.

Item 6 – my opinion has changed. I now disagree strongly. All students should, be given the same challenging tasks to keep them at the same level. The teacher should only offer extra assistant to those having difficulties in learning English.

I have chosen to research on question 2

The student achievement could, be limited by both race and poverty. Some societal stereotypes hinders student performance in school as well as financial and economic status (Gorski, 2015). The gap in achievement could, be caused by any of the above.

Parental involvement should not interfere with teachers teaching.
If students are struggling with English they should be give simpler assignments to tackle first before they are, presented with challenging ones.
