between 750 and 1,000 words (three to four double-spaced, typed pages, with approximately one-inch margins).
It may characterize or
categorize the genre of the work and briefly analyze the structure of the work. It may mention theoretical
orientation or methodologies employed (optionally, depending on the nature of the work). It should NOT interpret,
critique, compare, or analyze the text. Although any attempt to restate the argument of a source text runs the risk
of distorting it, your goal is to paraphrase, not quote from the source text. If you decide to use a quotation,
ensure that it is accurate and correctly punctuated.
