autopsy of a marketing failure

Your assignment is to conduct an autopsy of a marketing failure – a product, service, project, or company that failed. A marketing failure may range from a fiasco which resulted in corporate bankruptcy to a product, service, or project that simply did not achieve forecasted sales and profits. The “failure” may or may not be still on the market. Make sure that the failure is a MARKETING failure, not a failure related to ethics, fraud, accounting, etc.
Your post-mortem should document the initial planning and marketing strategies which resulted in failure. Your report should include an analysis about the reasons for the failure, and what might have been done to avoid or alleviate the failure.
The marketing failure that you critique should be a real situation where the facts are drawn from primary data which you obtain from secondary sources which you compile from research.
Your report should be a minimum of 2 pages in length and reference at least 2 sources. It must be double-spaced, 12 point, Times New Roman font, with 1 inch margins. Grading will be based on content, spelling and grammar, flow of the paper, and adherence to length and formatting requirements. Be sure to document all sources within your paper and include a works cited page. I will be checking diligently for plagiarism!
