Guidelines for Career Goals
The purpose of this assignment is to assist you in mapping out your future career in nursing which will hopefully clarify for you priorities you will need to plan for in the future to attain these career goals. It generally helps to divide these goals into incremental pieces that assist with attainment of goals and maintain a pathway to success.
Write a professional paper using APA format, approximately 2-4 pages in length (excluding title and references) which encompasstwo short term career goals and two long term goals. The paper is to explain and discuss:
• What you want to accomplish, how you will accomplish those goals,what you will needto accomplish those goals, and give specific timeframes. Short term goals are considered to be within one to two years. When describing what you will need to accomplish those goals include resources, schools, research into programs, residencies, advanced practice programs, employers, as examples.

Long term goals are considered to be within 5 to 10 years. When describing what you will need to accomplish those goals include, certifications, resources, schools, employers, research into programs, relocation, as examples.
• APA format, spelling, grammar, professional appearance, significance of content and discussion considered in the grading of this paper.
