Essay Unit II Political Ideals

In Book I, More lays out the problems of English society, namely the immorality of capital punishment for theft and an oligarchy that controls economic resources. In Book II he showcases Utopian society and offers a prescription for what ails England. How does the abolishment of private property solve many of the issues he presents? Finally, how does private property lead to illusory pleasures and why are Utopian natural pleasures better? Discuss.
