celebrity and its effect upon him. What were Lindbergh?s views on World War II and how did those views effect the public?s perception of him?
There are two books that we are currently reading in class,
1- Brinkley, Alan. The Unfinished Nation (6th ed.) vol. 2
2-Hixson, Walter L. Charles Lindbergh: Lone Eagle
From the syllabus:
The essay will be evaluated based upon coherence of argument, organization, content, spelling and grammar. In grading essays there is always an element of subjectivity. You can minimize the subjective aspect by using clear and appropriate language and proper grammar, spelling and punctuation. That is, develop a good eye for attention to detail and do the best job that you can. The key to good writing is rewriting.
You need to turn in both a hard copy in class and another copy sent through e-mail as a word attachment. I will submit the electronic copy through Turnitin.com if I suspect plagiarism. For the essay, make sure that you cite all ideas and facts by author and page in parentheses, for example (Downs, The Killing Zone, 60-61) and adhere to the letter
and intent of the Aggie Honor Code. Citations should be included in the essay itself and do not count toward the word total. You do not need to include a formal bibliography unless you use sources not part of the class?that is sources that come from somewhere else besides lectures and class readings. Although outside sources are not required or encouraged if you use them you must include a bibliography. Internet sources will not be accepted as citations.
