For the paper, you will do additional research and look for other hate crimes against Asian Americans. This can be more after 2001, or others before 2001, or both. Then, combining your new results with the ones you found for the activity, discuss any patterns (or lack thereof) you notice about these crimes. Next, discuss any conclusions you drew about hate crimes against Asian Americans and/or hate crimes in general based on your findings, and the actual process of trying to find these hate crimes. Remember, in your discussions, connect your ideas to the readings we have done in this class (e.g, Jerry Kang, Angelo Ancheta, Zia, Wu, etc.) and other class material. Note that better papers make stronger and more in-depth connections with multiple readings. Last, please make sure to attach your initial 20 hate crimes you found along with the additional hate crimes you found to your paper.
