Higher education governance models are diverse. The term governance refers to the core structure, organization, and management of an institution. While they share many traditions, governance and operations change depending on the type of institution and its focus.

For this assignment, use these titles traditionally associated with postsecondary governance models: not-for-profit, private, for-profit, and public college or university institutions.

Create a chart using the Higher Education Organizational Models Chart [RTF]. Provide the following data on all four models in your chart:

A definition and description of each model;
The governing board each model might use;
Twoinstitutional examples of each model (you can use university sites online); and
Two different references listed for each model beyond your textbook (you may use links for your reference sources).

As you continue to research and evaluate institutional models in this course, keep a copy of this chart and continue to add additional links or sources you may discover. You will need to use this chart again next week.
