3. The company as a whole (all 100 locations) has an average age of 43 years old. How does the age composition of the sample compare to the age composition of the company?
The average age composition of the sample is 34 years old. The average age is 9 years younger than the average age of the company as a whole. It appears that the sample may not accurately represent the population as a whole.
4. The company as a whole (all 100 locations) is 31% female. How does the gender composition of the sample (the 256 individuals in the dataset) compare to the gender composition of the company?
Female is higher than the company’s average. While the sample is 47% female, the company as a whole is only 31% female. This suggests that the gender composition of the sample is not representative of the company as a whole.
5. Why is it important to consider how the age and gender composition of the sample compares to the age and gender composition of the company as a whole?
Because the sample doesn’t represent the company as a whole.Its best to have realistic information to determine a good analysis.Its important to consider how the attributes of the sample compare to the attritubes of the company (population) because differences between the sample and population could influence our results. Since we base our recommendations on these results. It is vital that the results be as generalizable as possible to the overall population.
