Once you have provided an example of each type, along with the tools they have available, you need to analyze each tool and discuss the manner each group utilizes the tools by comparing the roles those tools play in each interest group, and the different approaches interest groups take in using specific tools; and assessing the success of those organizations in implementing those tools.
As you have discussed, there are a variety of interest groups with a set of important tools for achieving political success. In this research paper, you will focus on three types of interest groups: a non-profit organization, a trade association (economic), and a citizen-based or public interest group. Each interest group will be developed from your research on each type and will be examples not discussed in class. The death penalty and abortion are not topics that can be used in the research.
