Write an essay on the life and two major/significant works of a composer. The essay should be one-and-a-half to two pages in length. The first portion of your essay will consist of biographical information. You will want to include details about the composer’s life story as well as world events that may have been significant to their career as an artist. Examples would be: World War I, the American Revolution, the invention of movable type, etc…
The second part of your paper consists of a description of two major/significant works by your composer. Discuss at least three musical elements as well as historical information about each piece.
