The Topic Practically Speaking: Sermon Presentation
1. This assignment will require you to video record yourself delivering a sermon.
2. The sermon should be 8–12 minutes long on the biblical topic of your choice.
3. The sermon should utilize the characteristics of effective sermon style found in chapter 9 of Biblical Preaching: The Development of Expository Messages (clear, direct and personal, and vivid).
The text book the sermon has to relate to chapter 9 OF THE BOOK.

4. You must also exhibit skillful delivery of the sermon by paying attention to grooming and dress, movement and gestures, eye contact, vocal delivery, etc., as discussed in chapter 10 of Biblical Preaching.
5. The sermon can be delivered to a large audience, to a small audience, or to no audience.
6. This assignment uses a grading rubric. Instructors will be using the rubric to grade the assignment; therefore, students should review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the assignment criteria and expectations for successful completion of the assignment.
