For this essay, you will choose one form of analysis or topic that we have studied in class and apply it to a text of your choice. This can be a poem, short story, or part of a novel or film. The essay can answer questions similar to those that we have investigated in your seminar tasks and I am happy for you to expand any of the tasks to a full essay. Some of the topics that we have investigated included:

-Grammar and syntax
-Translation
-Metaphor
