Letter to Teacher

INSTRUCTIONS FROM TEACHER: “As you read this summer, I urge you to have pen in hand and to mark up your text. After you have read Old School by Tobias Wolff, I would like you to write a letter to me in which you tell me about the ways in which the book speaks to you. I’m interested in what the book makes you think, feel, understand, and/or question. Please do not simply summarize. Explore your reactions to and interactions with what you read. Your letter should be at least two typed, double-spaced pages.”
Please write about how the book makes your feel. Obviously you are not going to be able to read this whole book, but instead of summarizing, just make up some stuff about how to book speaks to you.
