Final Project: Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility
Project Overview:
select one corporation and deliver a presentation on that corporation?s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility and / or Sustainability we select a NIKE.
Project Instructions:
1) including the following:
a. A short overview of the company and its operations
b. The major issues that the firm should be addressing from a Corporate Social Responsibility or Sustainability perspective
c. A review of the corporate commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility or Sustainability as revealed from the firm?s website.
d. A presentation of one ethical conflict the firm has been involved in. This should include:
i. A summary of the events
ii. Who are the major stakeholders
iii. What are the ethical issues involved
iv. What was the response of the firm and was its response ethical
v. Which ethical theory did you use to complete iv. Above
vi. An assessment of what else the firm might have done
vii. A presentation of one ethical conflict the firm has been involved in. This should include:
e. An assessment of whether the corporation has succeeded in any initiative that could be classified as Strategic Corporate Social Responsibility as defined by Porter and Kramer. How has the firm created ?Shared Value?
