Have a look around you: What types of films are popular? What music is popular? What
new art is being displayed and written about? Which novels and non-fiction books are
selling and/or winning prizes? What attitudes do you see expressed in the media? What
attitudes do you see expressed in the people around you? What’s happening in current
events (historical events, politics, activism, etc)?
Post 3 characteristics of post-9/11 culture a nd give at least 1 example or piece of
evidence for each characteristic. For example, I might say that ”fear” is a
characteristic of post-9/11 culture. An example would be that a) people voted for Donald
Trump’s wall to keep immigrants out of the U.S.A. and b) the fear that liberals are
expressing about what else a Trump administration might do.
