Q-R-Q Journals

Order type: CourseworkSubject: Management

This Module requires you to develop a Journal Entry that begins with a QUOTATION (Q) from the assigned readings or viewings within a given module. You should select a quotation that is both meaningful to you and substantial. After the Quotation, you will RESPOND (R) analytically. DO NOT MERELY RESTATE THE QUOTATION (paraphrase or summarize or retell); rather you should discuss how and why you selected this section of the text/speech, and more importantly, the implications of the quotation that you selected. Discuss its relevance to you or to the various stakeholders (teachers, students, parents, student services personnel, administrators, public, etc.) impacted by the subject matter of the quotation. This Response (R) section of your journal entry must be at least 250 words. Once you complete your Response, skip a line and ask a QUESTION (Q) that will allow the conversation started by your journal entry to continue.Your first Journal is based on the reading from chapters 1 & 2 of the textbook. In this module, you need to develop one Q-R-Q using two quotations — one from each chapter. You can synthesize your thoughts and develop critical commentary to both quotations at the same time, or you can develop two separate responses. That is your choice. However, be sure to select a substantial amount of text in order to fully develop your commentary. REMEMBER that your Response should be an analysis of the quotation that you select! All claims or assertions that you make regarding the concepts discussed in your quotations must be supported with logical reasoning and evidence. Be sure to end your Journal with a thought-provoking question so that you invite other students into your conversation. You must post your Q-R-Q no later than Thursday, May 18th at 11:59pm. You must comment on or respond to the questions posed by at least 2 other students no later than Sunday, May 21st at 11:59pm. Each of your responses to another student’s Journal entry must be at least 150 words in length. Please type directly into the dialog box on the Journal Entry screen. Please DO NOT upload an attachment. Of course, you should always keep in mind that the Q-R-Q is a public forum, and as such, your remarks should always be professionally and respectfully presented.
