Your Op-Ed assignment, as well as the readings from Yüksel and Yüksel (2014), Harold (2017), and Sloop and Gunn (2014), all ask of you to consider, in different ways, the following: What does social involvement look like in relation to contemporary media? In considering at least two of the above, answer: What does media participation as public participation look like today? What are some opportunities, restrictions, and potential (positive and/or negative) consequences of participatory media and its social practices?
