Supervision of Instruction

Assume that you have identified a 15-year veteran teacher whose performance has deteriorated significantly over the past two years. He obviously has lost his enthusiasm for the profession, and he is content to do only the minimum required to retain his teaching position. Develop a growth plan for this teacher (you may supply any other contextual details). As a principal, what do you do if (a) the teacher responds positively to the growth plan; and what do you do if (b) the teacher does not respond positively to the growth plan?
