Explore one of the minor characters in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie—one of the characters we didn’t discuss in class. Perhaps Monica Douglas or Jenny Gray or some of the other girls whose roles are not so large. Is there a minor character who you believe is actually more significant than we might imagine? If we look closely at the function of that character, are we given new insights into the text as a whole?The entire first paragraph should be a huge thesis. It should not summarize the book at all.
