You will study the impact of these systems, as well as the impact of computer technology, on the safety, quality, and efficiency of nursing care. This paper should reflect correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, and APA format. Previous learning activities and resources will provide support for this assignment.

Instructions
1. Write a two- to three-page paper (excluding the title page and reference page) that describes the impact of information systems and computer technology on the quality, safety, and efficiency of healthcare.
a. Consider benefits and constraints that information technology brings to nursing practice.
b. Give specific examples from the literature to support your discussion.
c. You are required to cite and reference a minimum of three current and scholarly sources in this paper. Your textbook, Applied Clinical Informatics for Nurses, may be considered one of the three sources used for this assignment.
d. Minimal use of direct quoting is important when citing and referencing information on this topic.
e. Please write in third person and avoid referring to the reader as “you” (second person).
f. Review the criteria on the grading rubric carefully before starting this written assignment.
